Many people believe that there is a very fine line between a person portraying themselves as a successful entrepreneur and person just being seen as downright cocky. Even the word entrepreneur can conjure up images of rather arrogant people whom should perhaps refrain from using such a term in the first instance.
Whilst a person may very well be an entrepreneur in many ways, it is probably best for them to keep this title to themselves. We all know very well when we come across a successful entrepreneur and feel that only a parvenu would have the audacity to apportion the title to themselves.
Can you be an entrepreneur if you work for someone else? Perhaps you have a position high up in a company such as GDS International. The answer to this must be that working for someone else sort of negates the very description of being an independent entrepreneur.
No-one is saying that they are resentful of people when they do very well for themselves: after all, that is what our very society is based on. However, success should be displayed with an air of class - nobody likes a show-off and an upstart that is inclined to rub people's noses in their wealth.
So, in short, many people would assert that the true definition of a real entrepreneur is someone who achieves success in business with an air of dignity and class. Never give yourself the title of being an entrepreneur - there is nothing more chavvy and in such bad taste than this.
